Description

This is one of my favorite razors I’ve ever worked on. It began life with me as a pretty typical vintage razor – black celluloid scales and brass hardware. What initially interested me was the commemorative engraving on the razor – the 1893 World’s Fair which took place in my home of Chicago. I cleaned up some significant rust, but left some of the tarnish to show its age and paired it with custom scales made of Spalted Maple backed with brass to give them rigidity and put it all together with new brass pins and washers.
