Gottlieb Hammesfahr “16” – 6/8, Flat Point, Wedge Grind, Original Ivory Scales

$100.00

Out of stock

Description

This razor was made by Gottlieb Hammesfahr in the late 19th or early 20th century and the blade was forged in Solingen, Germany. While the blade is top-notch and shaves very well, what makes this razor truly stand out are its ivory scales with steel pins and washers. Just to be sure, I’ve has several different antiques dealers examine the scales and they all agreed that they’re real ivory as Shreger lines were present. The razor is 6/8 width, wedge ground, and has steel pins and washers.
