C.V. Heljestrand – 5/8 Frameback, French Point, Half Hollow Grind, Vintage Scales

Out of stock

This razor is truly unique. C.V. Heljestrand was a Swede who traveled to England in 1842 and remained there to learn the knife-crafting trade until 1845. He returned to Sweden and began building his business along with his father, Olaf, who had founded Heljestrand Knife Factory in 1808. After several years, he achieved his goal and his razors were rated among “the best razors Sweden had ever seen”.  Though he passed in 1861, his name lived on through his razors until 1980 when his factory closed. This razor is a 5/8 frameback with some hone wear, half hollow grind, and its original vintage aluminum scales.
